The director of Benalmádena Cable Car, Alberto Martín, and the mayor of Benalmádena, Juan Antonio Lara, have formalized the agreement that continues the 'Registered Resident Day' initiative. In return, the council will provide advertising spaces managed by the municipal company Innoben.
Interested parties can request a promotional code for a free ticket via email at diadelempadronado@innoben.es. The application period opens on the 14th of each month and closes the Wednesday before the celebration weekend. During July and August, the cable car extends its operating hours from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Each promotional code entitles the holder to one free round-trip general admission ticket. Users must enter the code on the Benalmádena Cable Car website, select the date provided by Innoben, and can then add a discounted meal at the restaurant La Cima.
The cabins of the Benalmádena Cable Car, launched on March 3, 2000, cover a distance of 2,646 meters in approximately 15 minutes. The route, which overcomes an elevation difference of 636 meters from Arroyo de la Miel to Monte Calamorro, operates at a speed of five meters per second with an average gradient of 24%. Each cabin has a capacity for four people.
