The incident occurred when the man, who was on his boat, began to feel unwell. After calling for help, he collapsed and fell into the sea. Although several witnesses initially tried to rescue him, it was the quick intervention of the security staff that proved decisive for his survival.
The security team leader, who has extensive experience at the Marbella marina, stated that he acted following emergency protocols learned during his training. Upon realizing the severity of the man's condition, who showed clear signs of cardiac arrest, the worker immediately used a defibrillator and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
“"I opened his shirt and connected the defibrillator. It gave him a shock immediately. I then began CPR while waiting for the emergency services to arrive."
Thanks to these maneuvers, the victim was stabilized before being transported by emergency services to a hospital. According to sources close to the case, the man is currently in a hospital ward, stable and recovering well from the incident.
The security company emphasizes the importance of continuous training in first aid techniques and the use of defibrillators in public spaces. Such actions, integrated into the marina's security plans, are essential to ensure an effective response to life-threatening situations.
