The municipal PSOE group has emphasized the two million euro funding from the central government for the renovation works of the Marbella city hall building. The total investment for these actions amounts to approximately 3.4 million euros.
According to the spokesperson for the socialist municipal group, Isabel Pérez, this renovation, expected to improve facilities and accessibility, will serve to "bring these facilities closer to the residents of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara".
“"Thanks to the PSOE, this renovation can be carried out. It is a renovation that will serve to improve the facilities, the accessibility of the building, and bring these facilities closer to the residents of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara."
The works, initially scheduled for completion in August, are now expected to conclude by the end of the year, according to the latest projections from the governing team.
The intervention aims to modernize a key municipal building, optimizing its efficiency, enhancing accessibility, and adapting its spaces to current administrative needs, while preserving the building's valuable heritage elements.
The rehabilitation project includes a complete overhaul of the air conditioning system, replacement of exterior carpentry for better thermal insulation, and a new internal layout to facilitate the daily tasks of municipal services. Among the main actions at the building, located in Plaza de Los Naranjos, is also the adaptation of the Casa Consistorial to current regulations regarding accessibility and fire safety.
