The Marbella City Council has initiated the installation of eight cameras aimed at traffic control, incident prevention, and support for citizen security efforts in various locations within San Pedro Alcántara.
Four of these devices have been placed around Avenida La Constitución, including Plaza de La Libertad, an area known for disturbances to public order. The other four monitors have been installed in the town's industrial estate.
These systems, equipped with license plate readers and connected via fiber optic to the Local Police headquarters, will enable a better response to any eventuality and facilitate prevention and investigation tasks, according to the deputy mayor of San Pedro Alcántara, Javier García.
In the industrial estate, the devices will also be used to combat the uncontrolled dumping of debris, a task that will be carried out by the Local Police.
