The operation, which will remain in effect until September 15th, aims to adapt municipal services to the significant increase in visitors the municipality receives during the summer months. This measure is intended to ensure that the population surge does not affect the maintenance of streets and public spaces.
The plan includes a reorganization of work shifts, covering morning, afternoon, and night periods. Additionally, new waste collection and street cleaning routes have been established, covering the entire municipal area, including Mijas Pueblo, Las Lagunas, La Cala, as well as various urbanizations and scattered zones.
Activities include manual street washing, hydro-cleaning, removal of excess waste, and the management of illegal dumping. The goal is to optimize the distribution of human and technical resources to ensure maximum efficiency in high-traffic areas.
