The Virgen de la Peña square in Mijas Pueblo will be the center of the second edition of the ‘Habana Vieja’ festival, scheduled from August 6th to 9th. This event aims to bring the rhythms and essence of Cuba to the Andalusian municipality.
During the festival days, gastronomy stalls will be set up where attendees can taste typical Cuban dishes, such as tamales. The main attraction will be the music, featuring a journey through the country's diverse rhythms and tributes to renowned artists.

The event promoter, Rafael Urquiza, highlighted that the festival will offer the well-known Cuban son, as well as Cuban salsa and the characteristic music of Havana. The Virgen de la Peña square will be transformed with special decorations imitating the streets of Old Havana, aiming to create an immersive experience for visitors.
Activities will commence daily at 6:00 PM. To facilitate visitor access, a complimentary shuttle bus service will be available from the La Cantera area to the town center.

The Councilwoman for Public Works, Melisa Ceballos, expressed her confidence in the festival's success, recalling its positive reception last year and stating that the event aims to showcase Cuban culture in Mijas Pueblo.
