The Mijas Fair will take place from September 7th to 12th with a program including concerts by Camela, Medina Azahara, Marta Quintero, and Alba Dreid, as well as traditional and family-friendly events.

The mayor of Mijas, Ana Mata, has presented the program and poster for the 2026 Mijas Fair, scheduled from September 7th to 12th. The event is designed for family enjoyment and will feature prominent performances by Camela, Medina Azahara, Marta Quintero, and Alba Dreid.
As a prelude, on September 6th, the official opening speech will be delivered by Mijas-born journalist Mari Carmen Jaime at the Miguel González Berral auditorium at 9:00 PM. The mayor highlighted the enthusiasm invested in offering a varied and high-quality program that combines tradition with contemporary offerings.
On September 7th, the fair will commence with a parade of giants and big-heads at 7:00 PM, followed by the artistic lighting ceremony and inauguration of the fairgrounds at 10:00 PM. That night, the queen, king, ladies, and escorts of the 2026 Mijas Fair will be chosen.
September 8th will commemorate the feast of the Virgen de la Peña, the patron saint of the municipality. The day will include bell ringing, a mass at the church of the Inmaculada Concepción (11:30 AM), and a procession through the streets of Mijas Pueblo (9:00 PM). Earlier, at 1:30 PM, the Daytime Fair will be inaugurated in La Muralla.
On September 9th, the king and queen for children will be elected, with registrations starting at 8:00 PM at the municipal booth. There will also be a children's performance by ‘Guerreras del K-Pop’ and, at 11:00 PM, the concert by Camela with free entry until capacity is reached.
On September 10th, the Daytime Fair will continue, and at midnight, the group Medina Azahara will perform at the municipal booth.
September 11th will be dedicated to seniors with the Tribute Dinner at the municipal booth (10:30 PM), where the Grandfather and Grandmother of the Fair will be selected by lottery. Following this, at 11:30 PM, Marta Quintero will perform.
The final day, September 12th, will feature a bicycle ride (11:00 AM), the Daytime Fair in La Muralla, a simulated bull run (6:00 PM), and a horse parade. The youth night will host concerts by dj Michael Stiven, dj Cohelo, and Alba Dreid.
The official poster for the 2026 Mijas Fair, presented by the mayor, is a symbolic composition featuring last year's king and queen, Paula González and Víctor Pulpillo, alongside a horse and the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Peña.
Ana Mata expressed gratitude for the work of all municipal departments, security forces, city council employees, brotherhood, and festival committee in ensuring a safe and organized fair.
