Companies interested in bidding for this project have until August 10 to submit their offers. The council has reported that the municipal pool remains closed to the public due to safety concerns and the poor condition of the roof, which has forced users to travel to the La Cala pool to carry out their sports activities.
In a previous tender, only one company submitted a bid, and after analyzing its documentation, it was determined that it did not meet the required economic solvency for the project. For this reason, the tender was declared 'deserted' administratively.
Following the closure of that process, the council has worked to expedite the administrative procedure and begin the roof renovation work as soon as possible, a commitment of the governing team. Inspections have revealed significant deterioration in structural components, sandwich panels, waterproofing systems, and water drainage.
The detected deficiencies, such as screw oxidation, roof and gutter degradation, and insulation issues, compromised the overall safety, watertightness, and durability. Therefore, the structural support will be renewed and new sandwich-type panels will be installed, with localized interventions that guarantee the structural continuity of the existing system.
Once the structural work and the new roof are completed, the rainwater drainage system will be renovated.
