The project, scheduled for completion within three months, involves replacing the current asbestos-cement pipes with new ductile iron ones. These new conduits will have a larger diameter and capacity, thereby improving the quality and safety of the service for residents.
The work will focus on Rebeco, El Corzo, Urogallo, and Codornices streets. The Councillor for Infrastructure, Juan José Torres, announced that an information meeting will be held this Wednesday with residents of the affected areas to provide details of the intervention.
The renovation of the network, spanning 1,609.89 linear meters, aims to eliminate leaks and water losses, thus improving water pressure in homes. The new pipes will be 100 and 150 millimeters in diameter and will include the replacement of service connections and the installation of valves.
Concurrently, similar work has been announced for the Doña Pilar urbanization, where 1,377.35 linear meters of network will be renovated with an investment of €281,000. Both projects have a combined budget of approximately €643,000.
