The council continues to advance in the prevention and control actions against the Nile Virus with a new meeting of the Municipal Monitoring Plan working group. Participants included the Councilor for Health, Juan Carlos Morejón; the area director, Carlos González; representatives from Hidralia; municipal delegation technicians, and a representative from the concessionary company SSA Consultores, who joined remotely.
The main objective of the meeting was to monitor the actions outlined in the municipal prevention plan. Measures discussed included mosquito sampling and trapping, carried out by the responsible company, as well as reinforcing communication efforts directed at citizens, with informative signage placed in various locations throughout the town.
It was also reported that a treatment has already been carried out in the Tubalitas stream, aiming to prevent mosquito proliferation and reduce potential breeding grounds.
Through these actions, the City Council maintains an active surveillance and prevention system, strengthening measures to control mosquito presence and minimize risks associated with the Nile Virus.
