The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and the education councilor, Laura Salazar, welcomed eight of the municipality's most outstanding students at the Town Hall. The event aimed to recognize their effort and the excellent academic results achieved during the 2025/26 academic year.
Students from IES Las Viñas in Manilva were distinguished in the “Outstanding in ESO” category. Among them are Carmen Becerra Domínguez, Izabella Matthew, Ashley Zulma Antonano Zárate, Francisco Pineda Moreno, and Andrea Fernández Fernández, who received Honors. In the Baccalaureate stage, Juan Infante Miranda was recognized, while Edurne Aguilar Ochoa received the Honor category, and Carmen Martín Retamar obtained Academic Excellence.
Municipal officials expressed their pride in having young individuals with such promising futures, emphasizing that their talent, commitment, and capability are the best guarantee for the development and future of Manilva. They highlighted that this group of young people, supported by their families, represents the great potential of new generations.
The students, who will continue their academic pursuits after a well-deserved vacation, expressed their delight at receiving this recognition.
