The works, scheduled to last four months, focus on replacing the roofs of the main building. The intervention addresses damage caused by heavy rains earlier this year, which led to leaks, dampness, and loss of cladding in various parts of the center, including the gymnasium and the main hall.
The project involves dismantling the old asbestos-cement roof and replacing it with sandwich panels featuring a tile-effect finish. Additionally, a new galvanized steel gutter system will be installed, and acoustic false ceilings will be renewed in areas affected by water infiltration.
The plan also includes sealing joints between buildings and repairing flat roofs on annexes by replacing asphalt felt. The project will conclude with painting and restoration work on both interior and exterior wall coverings throughout the school grounds.
