The second carcass was recovered on Wednesday, approximately 500 metres from the shore. This event has reignited concerns and speculation about whether it could be the same fish that was rescued days earlier.
The previous incident, which occurred on August 8, went viral after footage showed a two-metre, 300kg tuna struggling near El Ancón beach, appearing injured and bleeding from its gills. Beachgoers and health workers eventually managed to guide it back into the sea.

The recently found dead fish was of a similar size and also appeared to have injuries, fueling fears among animal lovers. The deceased specimen was located further west than the area where the first tuna was rescued.
