This initiative, coinciding with the recent commemoration of the International Day Against School Bullying, will be distributed in all primary and secondary schools in Fuengirola through the Department of Education. The campaign features prominent figures from Málaga's sports and culture sectors to reinforce its message.
“"Not only those who insult or attack are bullying, but also those who remain silent are complicit in this situation."
The campaign's posters include the free helpline number 900 018 018, an anonymous service for victims of school bullying. This resource is available for any minor who needs help or wishes to report a bullying situation.
A spokesperson for the Provincial Council has warned about the evolution of school bullying with the rise of social media and mobile phones. They noted that, unlike before, bullying can now continue silently outside school hours, often without families' knowledge.
“"It is important that other students, when they see a classmate suffering from bullying, inform the teachers or communicate it through the 900 018 018 number."
