The tenth edition of FreakCon, the pop culture, manga, comic, series, and video game festival of southern Europe, is set to be its most ambitious yet. The event will take place on May 22, 23, and 24 at the Torremolinos Congress Palace, promising an immersive experience for all audiences.
The program will include concerts, contests, talks, interactive experiences, video games, and themed areas. Among the 60 confirmed guests are international figures such as actor Giancarlo Esposito, known for his roles in series like Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian, Japanese artist Coda, French cosplayer Cinderys, and Hispano-Japanese singer Tami Tamako. National talent will be represented by illustrators and creators such as Elesky, Salva Espín, Pasqual Ferry, Natacha Bustos, and Papi Gavi.
As a major new feature for this anniversary, FreakCon will host a special inaugural day on Friday, May 22, starting at 5:00 PM with the K-Pop Fest, a pre-party dedicated to Korean pop culture. Additionally, the festival will enhance its sections dedicated to emerging talent in areas such as video game development, cosplay, illustration, and new audiovisual narratives.
During the event's presentation, the mayor of Torremolinos, Margarita del Cid, highlighted the "great international prestige" of the lineup. Meanwhile, provincial deputy Luis Rodríguez emphasized FreakCon's value as a "strategic project for tourism" and a driving force for the creative industry in the province.
