The fire, which started last Thursday, July 9, was declared completely extinguished this Tuesday, July 14, at 9:00 PM. A fire is considered extinguished when technicians confirm there is no possibility of it reigniting.
Last Saturday, July 11, at 8:45 PM, the fire had already been declared controlled, although teams continued working on the finishing and liquidation of the emergency, which had reached the emergency phase.
The Minister of Presidency, Health, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, deactivated the emergency phase (operational situation 1 of Plan Infoca) on Friday, July 10, at 9:39 PM. At that time, he detailed the staggered return of the 2,053 residents who had been evacuated and the lifting of the confinement.
Residents of the Los Flamingos urbanization (1,013 people), Parque Botánico (687), and the Four Seasons apartments (96) were able to return to their homes. Also returning were the 132 people from Marbella Hills and the 125 from the Caserías del Esperonal area. Confinement was lifted for the 370 residents of the Montemayor urbanization.
