Under the theme ‘Vive sus Calles’ (Estepona Lives its Streets), the initiative promises an immersive experience with a wide culinary offer and a varied program of live events. A total of 46 bars and restaurants will participate in the ‘Sabor Estepona’ tapas route, where they will present their best gastronomic creations.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy theatre performances, flamenco dancing, music concerts, and an exciting ham-carving competition. Cheese connoisseurs will have their dedicated space at the Feria del Queso ‘Popi’, an event focused on Malaga's dairy products, organized by the Sabor a Málaga label.
Spanish singer Chenoa is scheduled to perform on Saturday night at Plaza del Ajedrez. Additionally, the program will include performances by the Scandinavian school choir and circus acts, adding an international touch and entertainment for all audiences.
The event, which is free to attend, will offer tapas and drinks at prices ranging from €3.50 to €4.50 per vendor, allowing visitors to sample the rich local gastronomy.
One of the most anticipated activities is the ham-carving competition, which will take place on Sunday and feature expert carvers from across the nation. To encourage participation, Estepona has created a ‘tapas passport’ offering the chance to win one of 50 prizes.
Passports can be collected from the local tourist office or participating vendors. Those who collect at least three stamps from different vendors, vote for their favorite tapa, and submit the passport by April 21, could win prizes such as a catamaran trip, a spa day, or a hotel stay for two.
