The local administration has confirmed that the plans for the Isdabe/Atalaya, Guadalmina Baja/Casasola, and Costa Natura sections are now fully defined. This progress brings the city closer to connecting its entire 23-kilometer coastline.
The Coastal Corridor is a strategic infrastructure project designed to promote sustainable mobility, boost tourism, and protect the environment. It also aims to safeguard the public maritime-terrestrial domain, ensuring passage for pedestrians and cyclists along the coastline.
“"The proposals have already been submitted to the Consejería de Sostenibilidad y Medio (Andalucia’s Regional Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment) for review and approval."
The submitted documentation includes the basic project, detailed technical reports, budgets, photographic material, and a comprehensive justification of the works. Once the Consejería issues a favorable report, the Town Hall will be able to begin the tender process for the execution of the works.
The completion of these final three sections will allow all 23 kilometers of Estepona's coastline to be connected, creating a continuous space for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.
