The rehabilitation project focuses on modernizing the school's spaces, which serves Infant and Primary education. Key improvements include a complete renewal of the electrical installation and updates to fire protection systems to comply with current technical regulations.
A primary goal of the intervention is improving universal accessibility. Given the school's location in an area of special archaeological sensitivity, near a wall classified as a Site of Cultural Interest, the construction of ramps or earthworks has been ruled out. Instead, mechanical stairlift systems will be installed to navigate the building's levels without affecting the subsoil or protected elements of the surrounding area.
Additionally, the plan includes replacing interior and exterior carpentry to optimize thermal insulation and building security. Work began in early May and was initially adapted to the school schedule, with the pace of construction increasing following the end of the academic term.
