The municipal Plenary Hall was the setting for the ceremony, which brought together Local Police officers, representatives from the Civil Guard, family members, residents, and members of the Municipal Corporation. During the event, commemorative medals were awarded for 20 and 25 years of service, in addition to commendations for particularly outstanding actions.
The event also paid tribute to civil guard José Manuel Reguera de la Flor, who is retiring after 31 years of service. The mayor, Juan Luis Villalón, thanked the officers for their preparation, commitment, and the daily work they carry out in Casares Pueblo, Casares Costa, and El Secadero.
Villalón congratulated those honored and expressed special thanks to Reguera de la Flor for his career and collaboration with the municipality and the Local Police. He also announced the upcoming decoration of two officers for their distinguished performance during the storm that affected the municipality earlier this year.
For his part, the head of the Local Police, Ismael Arroyo, expressed his gratitude to the Town Hall for the support received in providing material and human resources, crucial elements for the department to offer quality service to the public.
The mayor also emphasized the importance of coordination among the various security forces and services, considering it fundamental for effectively meeting the needs of Casares.
