During a recent meeting of its governing council, Córdoba's Municipal Urban Planning Management (GMU) granted the necessary licenses for these projects. One, promoted by Hera Propietaria SL and designed by architect Alfonso Rodríguez Herrero, involves the creation of nine tourist apartments at Puerta Sevilla, 1, in the heart of the Alcázar Viejo neighborhood, known as San Basilio. This project has already received environmental qualification, a prerequisite for the building permit.
The second development, requested by Alva Crazy SL with the support of architect Álvaro Gómez Clavero, will be located at Ronda de Andújar, 1, near the Plaza de la Magdalena. This building will add ten 1-Key tourist apartments to the local offer and has also obtained its environmental and construction qualification.
These new projects join other recent and ongoing initiatives. Among those already licensed is a proposal by Globaltecnia, with the Castelló Arquitectura studio, for 15 apartments on Sevilla Street, 3, near the Plaza de Las Tendillas. Another project, by architects José María Barroso and Antonio Galisteo, will add 14 tourist apartments on Ambrosio de Morales Street, 14.
Furthermore, the GMU has three other environmental qualification requests in public information for future tourist apartment projects. One will be located on Horno Street, 6, near the Torre de la Calahorra, in the South District. Another is planned for Espalda Santo Cristo Street, 1-A, in the same area, and a third on Buen Pastor Street, 2, in the heart of the Historic Center, which will include a swimming pool.
In this context of tourist expansion, a hotel project is also under development on Teniente Braulio Laportilla Street, 5, a few meters from the Plaza de Las Tendillas. The developer has contracted Salsum Consultoría y Servicios Arqueológicos to carry out the mandatory archaeological excavations, in accordance with the city's General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU).
