Córdoba CF faces Real Zaragoza today at El Arcángel stadium in a crucial match to consolidate their permanence in the Second Division, despite numerous absences affecting the 'Blanquiverde' squad.

The match, scheduled for 9:00 PM, is part of a special day promoted by LaLiga, aiming to revive the history of two clubs with great tradition in Spanish football. Both teams arrive with different objectives: Córdoba CF seeks permanence and to offer a victory to their fans, two months after their last home win, while Zaragoza, in relegation spots, fights for salvation.
Iván Ania's pupils managed to break an eight-game winless streak by defeating Cádiz 1-3 in the previous round. Although the victory was not brilliant, goals from Carracedo, Fuentes, and Isma Ruiz left good impressions, despite some defensive disconnections that almost jeopardized the result.
For this match, Córdoba CF faces significant absences. The 'Blanquiverde' infirmary still includes Carlos Marín, Fomeyem, Trilli, Alcedo, and Adilson. Added to this list is Xavi Sintes, who has been unable to train this week due to hamstring discomfort. In the attacking midfield, with Jacobo and Sergi Guardiola unavailable, names like Theo Zidane, Pedro Ortiz, and Dalisson are candidates to accompany Carracedo on the right wing and Fuentes as the central striker.
For its part, Real Zaragoza, despite their defeat against Mirandés, has shown improvement with the arrival of David Navarro to the bench, achieving victories against teams like Racing and Almería. However, they also arrive with significant absences such as Francho Serrano, Tachi, Keidi Bare, and Rober González.
A victory for Córdoba CF would not only provide relief to the team but would virtually certify their permanence in the Second Division. Currently, Iván Ania's team has 45 points, eleven more than Zaragoza, who occupy the last relegation spot. If they win, Córdoba would reach 48 points, approaching the 50-point barrier, and would increase their lead to 14 units with only 21 points left to play for.
