The province of Cordoba recorded a 20% increase in traffic fine revenue during 2025 compared to the previous year. The total collection exceeded nine million euros (specifically 9,172,923 euros), up from 7,639,756 euros in 2024.
According to a report by the organization Automovilistas Europeos Asociados (AEA), only 11 Spanish provinces saw a reduction in their road penalty income. In Cordoba, fines for speeding increased by 31.9%, amounting to 4,533,455 euros, compared to 3,437,906 euros the year before.
This rise in speeding fines accounted for 49.4% of the province's total fine revenue. It is noteworthy that a speed camera located on the A-4 highway near the Cordoba capital is the twenty-seventh in Spain and the eighth in Andalusia for the number of infractions recorded.
Other Andalusian provinces also experienced significant increases. In Almería, speeding fines grew by 179.9%, and in Granada, the increase was 166.85%. Granada also led the overall rise in regional fine revenue, with a 71.4% increase.
