The province of Córdoba has registered 3,806 applications for the 2026 Young Cultural Bonus during the first month of the program's opening. This figure, provided by the Ministry of Culture, represents a significant portion of the young people who are or will turn 18 in 2026 and are eligible for this aid. At the Andalusian level, over 40,700 young people born in 2008 have requested the bonus, while across Spain, applications exceed 202,000.
Compared to other Andalusian provinces, Córdoba is among those with a lower volume of requests, behind Seville (11,077 applications), Málaga (21,240), Cádiz (15,546), and Granada (11,238). Other provinces such as Almería (3,000), Huelva (2,188), and Jaén (2,970) also show figures lower than the capital city.
The 2026 Young Cultural Bonus grants 400 euros to each beneficiary to be used for cultural products and services. A new feature of this fifth edition allows the amount to be allocated to various categories: up to 200 euros for live arts, audiovisuals, cultural heritage, and artistic creation materials; up to 100 euros for physical cultural products; and up to 100 euros for digital consumption. Alternatively, the full amount can be dedicated to cultural courses and workshops, musical instruments, or creation and artistic materials.
The Ministry of Culture is collaborating with the Platform of the Third Sector to improve the dissemination of the call among vulnerable populations. In Córdoba, 8,883 individuals meet the requirements to apply for the bonus this year, indicating that approximately 42% of eligible individuals have already submitted their application in the first month.
To apply for the bonus, applicants must have reached or will reach the age of majority before October 31, 2026, possess Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain, and have a digital identification system such as Cl@ve (with basic or advanced registration) or a digital certificate. Once granted, the aid has a one-year period to be spent at the 835 affiliated establishments in Andalusia.
