The patient, originally from Málaga, was returning home after a trip to Costa Rica with friends when the tragic derailment of an Iryo and an Alvia train occurred. This incident, which took place seventy-seven days ago, resulted in the deaths of 46 people and left 152 injured.
Following the accident, the woman was immediately admitted to the ICU of the hospital, where her condition was critical during the initial weeks. Subsequently, her condition improved, allowing her to be moved to a regular ward almost two weeks after admission, marking the beginning of a more stable recovery phase within the hospital.
Although she has now returned home with provisional discharge, the patient continues her rehabilitation in her hometown and is awaiting a new surgical intervention on her leg. According to close sources, she still suffers from sequelae of the accident and will require specialized medical follow-up.
Concurrently, the judicial investigation into the Adamuz train accident is still in the preliminary inquiry phase. The Minister of Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function, José Antonio Nieto, has indicated that the judge in charge of the case has not yet ruled on the request for appearance presented by the Junta de Andalucía.
The judicial process is moving forward with the resolution of various requests from the involved parties, aiming to clarify the causes of the incident and determine potential liabilities. The regional administration has emphasized the importance of ensuring that the process guarantees compensation for victims and a thorough judicial investigation.
