These assessments, conducted simultaneously across Andalucía, represent a crucial opportunity for those seeking to complete their academic education. Of those registered, 745 aspire to the ESO degree, while 106 are pursuing the Baccalaureate.
The ESO exams are designed for individuals over 18 years old, offering them a pathway to this basic qualification and, subsequently, to continue their studies at higher levels such as Baccalaureate or Vocational Training Cycles. The Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training organizes two annual calls, in April and June, to facilitate this reincorporation into the education system.
For the organization of the ESO exams in Córdoba, four evaluation committees have been established. The content covers three areas of knowledge: Scientific-Technological, Social, and Communication. It is necessary to pass all three exercises to obtain the degree, although the scores for passed areas are retained for future calls, valid throughout the national territory.
Regarding the Baccalaureate exams, aimed at individuals over 20 years old, the first day is held this Saturday, April 11, and will continue on Saturday, April 18. Candidates will be examined on common subjects, modality-specific subjects, and optional subjects from the different Baccalaureate branches, including Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, General, and Arts in its two pathways.
The main objective of these initiatives is to facilitate access to an official academic qualification, allowing Andalusians to complete their education and access higher studies. As with the ESO, subjects passed in the Baccalaureate exams are retained for future calls, and those who have already completed and passed certain subjects may be exempt from taking the corresponding tests.
