A new heatwave will affect Spain, with temperatures expected to hover around 45 ºC in various parts of the country. Although Córdoba is not predicted to reach such extreme levels, the mercury will rise significantly again starting this Monday.
The Cordoban countryside is under an orange alert for Monday and Tuesday, while the rest of the province will be under a yellow alert. Temperatures in the center of the province could rise to 40 ºC, and in the rest of the province, they will range between 38 ºC and 39 ºC.
For Wednesday and Thursday, Aemet predicts that temperatures in Córdoba capital could climb to 43 ºC, with lows around 21 ºC. A slight decrease of about 7 ºC is expected for the weekend, although this forecast may change.
