The number of applicants has seen a 14.47% increase compared to the previous year across Andalusia, where over 15,600 students are participating. Regionally, 5,795 (36.99%) are male and 9,870 (63.01%) are female.
Of the 15,665 enrolled in this extraordinary PAU, 10,840 already participated in the ordinary session. Of these, 3,395 are retaking the exam after not passing, while 7,445 aim to improve their scores.
The exam model for this extraordinary edition maintains the competency-based approach and common correction criteria implemented last year. An increase of 20-25% in such questions is expected, with variations by subject, following guidelines from the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE).
Orthographic, grammatical, and lexical correctness will be assessed in all exercises, paying attention to spelling, accents, punctuation, and textual coherence. This criterion will penalize linguistic subjects more heavily.
Each exam will last 90 minutes, with minimum breaks of 30 minutes between tests. A weighted score of 5 points or higher will be required for university access.
In the voluntary Admission Phase, aimed at improving scores, students can take up to four subjects, with the two most favorable for their chosen degree(s) being counted. Spanish Language and Literature, History of Spain, or History of Philosophy are excluded.
