The procession will depart from the parish of San Antonio de Padua and head to the City Hall, where the Virgin will receive a brooch replica of the city's Coat of Arms. This distinction recognizes Córdoba's devotion to the Virgin and her connection with the Mercedarian devotion.
The designed route is unique and will take Santa María de la Merced through places such as San Agustín and Colón, streets it has not passed through in decades or for the first time. This special route culminates a year of intense religious services and commemorative activities.
The program of events for the 50th anniversary, which began in February 2026, has included the premiere of the musical piece 'Aniversario Mercedario', the Virgin's visit to the prison, and a series of conferences. Additionally, from September 4th to 13th, the Palacio de la Merced will host the exhibition 'El ajuar de la Virgen' (The Virgin's trousseau).
The complete itinerary includes an extensive route through various city streets, starting and ending at the parish of San Antonio de Padua, and passing through emblematic points such as Plaza de Colón and San Agustín.
