The 2026 call for applications will benefit 84 initiatives submitted by various brotherhoods, parishes, and religious orders across the province. The primary goal of these grants is to facilitate the conservation and rehabilitation of historical and artistic assets linked to the local religious tradition.
Selected projects include work on processional floats, devotional images, candelabras, banners, and other ornamental elements. The maximum grant per initiative is 20,000 euros, enabling interventions in both the capital and other municipalities such as Lucena, Aguilar de la Frontera, Puente Genil, Luque, and Cabra.
In addition to brotherhoods, the provincial institution has included entities such as the Betania Community of the Hermanas Hospitalarias de Jesús Nazareno and the San Eulogio Foundation, as well as various parishes seeking funds for the conservation of paintings and religious statues.
The Council noted that, alongside the list of approved projects, there is a group of excluded applications with rectifiable defects. These entities have a ten-day period to correct their documentation and qualify for funding, with the total amount in this category exceeding 1.2 million euros.
