The Califas Fest 2026 has unveiled new additions to its lineup, including José Mercé, Santiago Auserón, and Pitingo, solidifying the Córdoba bullring as a musical hub and extending its programming until December with an innovative covered tent.

The official presentation of Califas Fest 2026 has confirmed that the Córdoba bullring will once again be the main stage for this concert series. The event, organized by Grupo Mundo, has revealed a program that will extend throughout the year, aiming to boost the city's cultural offerings.
The festival has already begun with a concert by Fito & Fitipaldis and will continue this month with Cantores de Híspalis. Throughout the coming months, audiences can enjoy artists such as Sidecars, Los Morancos, Luli Pampín, Antonio Orozco, Ara Malikian, Galván Real, Marta Santos, Camela, La Plazuela, and El Kanka. Additionally, traditional performances like the Zambomba de Jerez de María José Santiago will be featured.
A key innovation this year is the festival's extension beyond October. Starting in November, a large covered tent will be installed in the bullring, designed to ensure concert continuity regardless of weather conditions. This structure, measuring 28 meters wide by 60 meters deep with annexed spaces, will be equipped with climate control and specific acoustic solutions, such as sound-absorbing fabrics, to optimize sound quality. It will also feature a raised floor to facilitate drainage in case of rain, allowing shows to proceed even in adverse conditions. The tent will have an approximate capacity of 2,500 people, with seating at the back and the stage at the opposite end.

"The impact of Califas Fest on the local economy is significant, with an estimated return of around 15 million euros annually and the creation of about 4,000 direct and indirect jobs."

Daniel Rodríguez · General Director of Grupo Mundo
For his part, the mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, highlighted the Califas Fest's contribution to tourism, improving traveler and overnight stay figures during traditionally challenging months like June and July. Despite only two concerts being scheduled by Grupo Mundo in June and Rodríguez himself acknowledging no plans for more concerts during Córdoba's hot summer, Bellido asserted that these initiatives position Córdoba within the national circuit of major music festivals, fostering employment and cultural tourism.
