The Provincial Council of Córdoba, through its Culture Department, has launched a new edition of the festival Volantino. Festival of Circus and Street Arts. The event aims to bring contemporary circus and performing arts to smaller towns, promoting access to innovative cultural experiences and using public spaces as meeting points.
This initiative, running from June 24 to July 15, will feature a diverse program combining disciplines such as contemporary circus, physical theater, clowning, juggling, acrobatics, live music, and movement arts. The festival seeks to offer quality performances from leading national companies and Andalusian artists, reaffirming the commitment to local culture.
The inaugural gala will be held on June 12 in the Patio Blanco of the Palacio de la Merced, the Provincial Council's headquarters, at 8:30 PM. It will include the end-of-course showcase from the Alas Circo School, titled From School to the Stage.

The festival will feature performances from various companies from across Spain, including Inquieto by Jean Philippe Kikolas (Castilla y León), Mayday by Circocido (Castilla y León), Solo de dos by Duo x Caso (Catalonia), Qué disparate by Circo Psikario (Community of Madrid), Inestable by Nave del Espacio (Andalusia), Re.Cuerda by Cordoban artist Luichi Leal, Naufragio by Labsurda, and Koosha by El Cruce (Valencian Community).
