The white-and-green squad has shown an unstoppable dynamic, achieving six consecutive wins that allow them to close the gap on the promotion play-off spots. This streak, spanning six matchdays, represents the team's best moment under the management of coach Iván Ania.
This achievement equals the record set in the 1959-1960 season, when Córdoba CF, then coached by Roque Olsen, also strung together six victories. On that occasion, the team defeated rivals such as Atlético Almería, Rayo Vallecano, Cádiz, Mestalla, Badajoz, and Jaén, finishing the league in second position.
Since then, despite the club's long history in Segunda División (35 seasons), Córdoba CF had not been able to repeat such a prolonged winning sequence. The current streak is not only the best of the Iván Ania era but also places the team on par with Málaga, who until now held the most significant streak of the season with six wins.
The upcoming match against Albacete will offer Córdoba CF the opportunity to establish a new historical record outright and consolidate its position as the most in-form team of the current Segunda División season, keeping its promotion aspirations alive.
