After several days of physical training, Córdoba CF will test itself on the field in its first pre-season friendly match. The game aims to accumulate minutes and assess the readiness of the new signings ahead of the league start.
Coach Iván Ania will have most of the squad available, including the twelve new signings, with the exception of Salim El Jebari, who is sidelined due to discomfort. The main objective is to provide game time for all available players and test the team's tactical patterns.
This match offers an opportunity for the new recruits, some of whom are new to the Second Division, to adapt to the league. Competition for starting spots is expected to be fierce from the outset.
“"I expect accumulation of minutes, for the team's identity and the playing model we want to implement to start showing. They are a team with very fast players and good transitions that will challenge us."
The coach highlighted the challenge posed by the South African opponent and hopes the friendly will help meet initial physical objectives and, if possible, achieve a positive result.
This match in Marbella is the first of six scheduled friendlies. Other confirmed fixtures include games against Sevilla (July 23), Elche, and Real Jaén.
