The socialist municipal group in the Córdoba City Council has pointed out an apparent contradiction in the management of the Royal Stables. According to the socialists, the council's representative in the Córdoba Ecuestre association voted in favor of submitting objections against the transfer of said venue, a document promoted by the local administration itself.
Sources from the local government have clarified that the vote was in favor of submitting general objections, not specifically those that have generated controversy regarding the organization of the arena and the definitive uses of the Royal Stables, which could affect the activities of Córdoba Ecuestre.
The socialist spokesperson, Antonio Hurtado, described the situation as a "disparate" that shows "lack of control and rigor" in the municipal government. For his part, the municipal government spokesperson, Miguel Ángel Torrico, stated that the objections presented by Córdoba Ecuestre will be studied, and a decision will be made on whether to accept them fully, partially, or not at all.
Following an exchange of statements between the entity and the City Council, an understanding is now being sought to make Córdoba Ecuestre's activities compatible with the municipal plans for the historic venue.
