The president of the Cordoba Provincial Council, Salvador Fuentes, met with the general secretary of UGT Andalusia, Oskar Martín, to analyze the province's labor market and explore collaboration avenues. The goal is to enhance working conditions, boost training, and foster the territory's economic and social development.
A key point of the meeting was occupational risk prevention and concerns about workplace accidents. Both parties agreed on the need to strengthen a preventive culture and promote initiatives that ensure safer work environments in Cordoba and throughout Andalusia.
Training tailored to the real demands of the Cordoban labor market was another central theme. The importance of diagnosing training needs to identify the most sought-after skills and professional profiles by companies and productive sectors was discussed.
Salvador Fuentes emphasized the need to design training activities aligned with Cordoba's economic and labor reality, which would improve workers' qualifications and expand their employment opportunities.
Collaboration formulas to bring labor resources and services closer to citizens were also explored. Oskar Martín proposed establishing a network of labor advisory points in municipalities, particularly in rural areas, to facilitate access to information and guidance on labor rights.
Fuentes showed openness to this initiative, noting it would help reduce territorial inequalities by bringing these services to areas with more limited access.
