The match, played this Sunday at Vista Alegre, pitted two teams with contrasting realities against each other. Deportivo Córdoba, already relegated, aimed to improve their points tally, while Salesianos Puertollano, qualified for the First Division promotion play-offs, sought to climb positions in the league table.
Despite the difference in standings, the first half was dominated by the white-and-green team. Within two minutes, Deportivo Córdoba took the lead with a goal from Inma Sojo, following a rebound from the visiting goalkeeper. Shortly after, Noema extended the lead with a powerful left-footed shot, making it 2-0 at halftime and showcasing a strong performance from the home side.
The second half saw a quick reaction from the Puertollano team, who narrowed the gap with a right-footed shot from Laura. However, Deportivo Córdoba responded with another goal from MJ, bringing the score to 3-1. The joy was short-lived, as Salesianos quickly leveled the score with a goal from Edurne and, almost immediately, Patricia found the equalizer.
The team from Castilla-La Mancha appeared more composed in the final stretch of the match and, with two minutes remaining, Patricia, acting as a player-goalkeeper, beat Vivi, securing the victory for the province of Ciudad Real. Deportivo Córdoba's next fixture, the last of the 2025/26 League, will take place next Saturday at 6:00 PM on Martos' pitch.
