Heat returns with force to Córdoba, where the mercury will soar to 44 degrees in the last week of July, according to the latest forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
This Monday, July 27, the state agency will activate a yellow alert for high temperatures in the Cordoban capital and in the regions of Alto and Valle del Guadalquivir, where the thermometer will reach 39 degrees, with a minimum of 20 degrees.
Monday is expected to be the least hot day of the week. For Tuesday, July 28, the mercury is forecast to reach 41 degrees, with a minimum of 21 degrees. Aemet will activate an orange alert for high temperatures in Córdoba capital and the regions of Alto and Valle del Guadalquivir, while the rest of the province will have a yellow alert. The alerts will be in effect from 13:00 to 21:00 on both days.
These conditions are expected to remain similar on Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30.
On Friday, July 31, the last day of the month, the thermometer could reach 44 degrees in Córdoba, with a predicted minimum of 22 degrees. The heat will continue to be suffocating on Saturday, August 1, with a maximum of 42 degrees and a minimum of 24 degrees.
