This event, which follows the format of previous editions, will take place at the main entrance of the Palacio de la Merced, the provincial institution's headquarters, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
“"It is a dynamic and participatory event, in which different delegations and services of the Provincial Council have joined forces for transversal, multidisciplinary, and collaborative work."
The main purpose of this proposal is “to establish synergies and offer a program that celebrates the love for reading and books, fostering this habit among the general population,” as stated by a spokesperson for the institution.
The Culture Delegation, in collaboration with the Equality Delegation and the departments of Publications, Archive and Library, and Environment, will set up several tables at the building's entrance where books will be given away to visitors.
As a notable new feature this year, Literary Booths will be installed. These are three English-style telephone booths from which visitors can listen to poems by authors such as Lorca, Gloria Fuertes, Antonio Machado, or Emily Dickinson, an excerpt from Don Quixote, an entry from María Moliner's dictionary, and verses by Shakespeare in English.
