David Fernández's team displayed a strong performance in their first preparation friendly for the upcoming campaign, despite having only just over a week of real work.
Beyond the result, which reflects the difference in categories, the match allowed for distributing playing time and beginning to implement the concepts typically worked on during the summer. Players from the reserve team, such as Aguayo, Zafra, and Alberto Peinado, also participated.
The only absences were Javi Aranda, due to a cut above his eyebrow, and Lucas Perin, who is still resolving various bureaucratic procedures.
Córdoba Patrimonio had the match largely under control before halftime, leading 1-5. The first-half scorers were Faly, Pablo Ibarra, Miguel Palacio, Titi del Rey, and Alvarito.
After the break, Faly, Titi del Rey, and Miguel Palacio completed their braces. Zequi, from a penalty, and Ivi rounded off the scoring for the 'blanquiverde' side to reach double digits.
With this first hurdle cleared, Córdoba Patrimonio will not have much time to rest, as they are scheduled to play their second friendly this Friday at 9:00 PM. They will face Virgili Cádiz Futsal in Cádiz, another opponent from a lower category where the main objective will again be to build momentum for the league opener, still more than a month away.
