These works include the urbanization of the Gran Capitán business park in the Rinconada area and the creation of a new neighborhood with 1,300 homes. Both initiatives mark a period of intense activity in infrastructure development for the Cordovan capital.
The urbanization of the Gran Capitán business park, a key component of the military logistics complex of the Ministry of Defense, will begin after the signing of the staking out act on May 7. This project, covering 110 hectares and creating 91 plots, has been awarded for 47 million euros to a temporary joint venture and has a 26-month execution period.
The completion of these works must coincide with the construction of the Army Logistics Base, as they will share basic services. The total investment for this area, including infrastructures such as the link to the A-4, a water reservoir, and an electrical substation, amounts to 108.4 million euros.
Concurrently, on the opposite side of the city, a new residential development is underway. The O-2 Ciudad Jardín de Poniente partial plan, spanning 38 hectares, will give rise to a neighborhood with 1,300 homes, continuing urban expansion. The assembly of the Compensation Board for this plan will approve the awarding of the first urbanization phases, valued at 18 million euros, on May 15.
In a later phase, two additional actions are planned, still without a definitive project, which will add approximately 10 million euros. These include the undergrounding of a section of the Guadalmellato Canal and the construction of a storm drain collector, along with a storm tank.
