The meeting follows the Córdoba City Council's temporary suspension of the creation of the Neighborhood Parking Zone (ZAV) due to existing divisions within the community and a lack of agreement on the proposed restrictions. The measure, which planned for the reservation of 257 spaces, was never implemented, leaving parking to function without special limitations.
The assembly aims to address the conflict again, but the conditions for participation in the vote have opened a new debate. According to the announcement, only one person per household will be allowed to vote on Virgen de Linares and de la Igualdad avenues, and on Espiel, Valsequillo, La Granjuela, Alhondiguilla, Villaharta, El Vacar, and Balanzona streets.
Furthermore, a specific regime has been established for certain properties, such as blocks 13 and 15 on Balanzona street, de la Igualdad avenue number 2, and military housing, where only the block or community president can cast a vote. This condition has caused discontent among some residents who question the fairness of the process.
Another criticized measure is the prohibition of proxy votes, preventing absent residents from transferring their voting rights to another person. These disagreements arise after months of debate over the ZAV implementation, and a group of residents has already submitted signatures to the City Council expressing their rejection of the project.
