The Asturian artist arrives in the Andalusian city with his 'Solo a solas conmigo' tour, a proposal that moves away from more grandiose formats to focus on the essence of his compositions. The stage transforms into a space where words, memory, and interpretation take center stage, free from artifices that might distract from the music and its meaning over six decades.
The repertoire spans from tracks on his latest album to classics that have resonated with multiple generations. Attendees can expect recent songs like 'Déjame por dios que coja aire' or 'Cruzar los brazos', alongside timeless hits such as 'Quiero abrazarte tanto', 'Bailarina', and 'Soy un corazón tendido al sol'. The concert will culminate with one of the most anticipated moments: the performance of 'Solo pienso en ti'.
This song, released in 1978, holds a special connection to the province of Córdoba. Its inspiration comes from the true story of a couple with intellectual disabilities, whose romantic relationship developed in Cabra, amidst the complex social and legal landscape of the late 1970s. Despite the prejudices of the era, they managed to marry and start a family, a story that Víctor Manuel learned about through a newspaper article and transformed into a universal anthem of love and inclusion.
The singer-songwriter will be accompanied by his son, David San José, on musical direction and keyboards, along with a team of regular musicians who provide solidity and rich sound to the performance. This concert is poised to be a highlight on Córdoba's cultural agenda, offering a profound listening experience and a reunion with a musical approach rooted in emotion and shared memory.
