The bidding process, which began last March, has concluded with the selection of a specialized firm to evaluate the scope of the military megaproject. With a budget of 60,700 euros, the contract includes a six-month execution period to complete the technical report.
The resulting document will serve as a strategic tool for planning municipal investments and developing public policies. The analysis will incorporate econometric models to measure the impact on the Gross Domestic Product and job creation, extending the study to the metropolitan area and the regional logistics corridor.
The work methodology will include both quantitative and qualitative analyses, through surveys of companies in the sector and consultations with experts in logistics and Industry 4.0. Additionally, two time horizons will be evaluated: one in the short term, set for 2030, and another in the long term, projected until 2040.
Among the mandatory deliverables, the consultancy must provide a system of indicators and thematic maps on mobility, connectivity, and environmental risks. All generated information will become the property of the city council to ensure the operational management of the project.
