The Local Assembly of Adelante Andalucía Córdoba has agreed to the election of Carmen Sánchez and Jordi Vidal as the new co-spokespersons for the organization in the city. This decision aims to reinforce the political and social work carried out by the Andalucist party in the Cordoban capital.
Both leaders held the 3rd and 4th positions on the Adelante Andalucía candidacy for the province of Córdoba in the last Andalusian elections. They possess a notable track record of social commitment and active participation in various citizen movements.
The election of this new co-spokesperson role responds to the Local Assembly's intention to enhance Adelante Andalucía's presence in Córdoba. The goal is to consolidate a political project defined as Andalucist, feminist, ecosocialist, and anti-capitalist, focusing on the defense of public services, the right to housing, social justice, and the improvement of citizens' living conditions.

We are going to make an ambitious bid for the next municipal elections, but we understand that we must first undertake a calm and participatory internal process that allows us to choose the best possible candidate to lead that project."
Carmen Sánchez and Jordi Vidal have expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them by the membership. They emphasized the importance of continuing to build an open organization, close to the neighborhoods, and connected with the city's collectives and social movements.
Adelante Andalucía Córdoba has clarified that this designation exclusively concerns the local organizational structure and is unrelated to future candidacies for the 2027 municipal elections. The process to determine who will lead the municipal project has not yet formally begun, and it will be the membership who decides the most suitable person or team.
The party is working on an "ambitious bid" for the municipal elections, seeking to strengthen its presence in neighborhoods, foster closer ties with associative, trade union, and neighborhood networks, and build an Andalucist political alternative focused on the needs of Córdoba and Andalusia.
The organization faces this new phase with enthusiasm, confident in the existence of a political space for a left-wing Andalucist force that defends the interests of the Cordoban social majority.
