The project, which continues the work of ‘Agrosocial’, focuses on four main lines of action: Living Labs to test technologies like the Internet of Things or artificial intelligence in the agro-food sector; a Cross-border School of Advanced Management with new courses; an agro-food social entrepreneurship program with mentoring for at least thirty startups; and a network of international Artificial Intelligence congresses in Córdoba.
The initiative has a budget of €2,062,429.85, largely funded by the European Union's ERDF. The project aims to strengthen the agro-food social economy, territorial cohesion, and rural innovation in Spain and Portugal.
Emphasis has been placed on generational renewal in agriculture, with awareness-raising actions for young people and pilot plans in companies. Furthermore, gender equality is addressed, seeking to increase the presence of women in management positions within agri-food cooperatives.

Elena de Miguel, Director of the Joint Secretariat of the POCTEP, recalled the 15th anniversary of Interreg Cooperation Day, highlighting the spirit of territorial cooperation promoted by the Interreg Spain-Portugal program, with over 35 years of history and 259 supported projects.
The ‘Agrosocial Plus’ project includes partners such as the provincial councils of Cáceres, Cádiz, and Lugo, the European Foundation for Innovation (INTEC), the Galician Association of Agrarian Cooperatives (Agaca), Andalusian and Extremaduran cooperatives, and Portuguese entities like the Municipality of Fundao and the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho.
