This initiative is part of the grant call for projects promoted by non-profit entities that foster economic development in municipalities, under the ‘Iprodesal’ program.
The delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment, Félix Romero, explained that the agreement will enable the implementation of six specific actions aimed at highlighting the uniqueness of Cordoba's extra virgin olive oils.
These actions will include tastings of EVOOs from different commercial categories, accompanied by information on their production processes, organoleptic properties, and the importance of environmental sustainability in their production.
The activities will take place within the framework of business events, scientific congresses, and assemblies of various organizations, serving as a complementary offering for any event held within or outside the province.
Romero, who also chairs Iprodeco, emphasized that this collaboration agreement is another example of the commitment to the province's EVOOs under the ‘Sabor a Córdoba’ umbrella.
According to Romero, this focus on extra virgin olive oil allows the province to continue being a voice for the quality and excellence of Cordoba's olive oil industry and all that this sector represents for the region.
