The Provincial Council of Córdoba is finalizing details for Intercaza 2026, to be held from September 18-20 at the Exhibition, Fair, and Convention Center (CEFC), with the goal of making the province Spain's hunting capital.

Félix Romero, delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, has presented the innovations for the 27th edition of Intercaza 2026. The fair, which aims to exceed the 25,000 visitors from 2025, will take place from September 18-20 at the CEFC.
The main objective is to establish Córdoba and its province as the hunting capital of Spain. The fair will include sectors such as big and small game hunting, with a special focus on the latter, which is deeply rooted in the province. The poster image, by Alfonso Roldán, highlights the partridge, a nod to local hunting societies.
Organizers of hunts, safaris, and sport fishing will participate, along with companies offering weaponry, equipment, cutlery, optics, taxidermy, technical footwear, hunting packs, saddlery, falconry, and game farms. Romero, also president of Iprodeco, emphasized that Intercaza also encompasses food products, gastronomy, tourism, and active leisure.
As a prelude to the fair, various activities have been organized in August, including an ascent to La Tiñosa on September 6, the Hunter's Day in Fernán Núñez on the 12th, and the traditional parade of hunting packs on September 13th.
The program for Intercaza 2026 will feature activities for children, show cookings, educational talks with members of the SEPRONA, the morphological greyhound competition organized by the National Greyhound Club, a falconry exhibition, and a taxidermy workshop.
Romero highlighted the importance of Intercaza for the province, noting that the hunting sector generates employment and significant economic activity. The province has over 18,400 active licenses, 1,443 hunting grounds, and substantial big and small game activity.
