The Provincial Council of Cordoba supports this initiative, which aims to bring electric mobility innovations closer to users and foster a forum for reflection. The delegate for Finance and European Funds of the Council, Ana Rosa Ruz, highlighted that the path towards a more energy-efficient model is not always easy and that such projects aim to showcase its advantages and address needs like charging infrastructure.
Ruz added that the Council, through the Provincial Energy Agency of Cordoba, promotes sustainable mobility initiatives and collaborates with municipalities on municipal mobility plans. She emphasized the importance of diffusion and promotion activities like this event for the electric mobility strategy and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to reducing emissions in the province.
For his part, the mayor of Almodovar del Rio, Ramón Hernández, stated that the event will boost the local economy and allow residents to experience a different form of mobility. He mentioned that the town already has charging points and plans to install a new one soon in the Los Mochos neighborhood, with the Council's collaboration.
Also participating in the presentation were José Antonio Nogueral, sub-delegate of AUVE in Cordoba, and Rafael Jiménez, vice-president of the Popular Athenaeum of Almodovar del Rio.
The event's program, from October 23 to 25, will combine the environmental connection of electric vehicles with the enjoyment of nature. It will include an exhibition of vehicles from different brands, exhibition initiatives such as ‘50 years with the camera hung’ or ‘Almodovar del Rio and the Corral lineage’, electric bicycle routes, a solar boat trip, and adventure activities in the La Breña area.
