The president of the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation (CHG), Gloria Martín Valcárcel, along with the Government's sub-delegate in Seville, Francisco Toscano Rodero, and the mayor of El Viso del Alcor, Gabi Santos Morilla, visited the works on the La Muela stream. The investment amounts to over 1.3 million euros, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
Francisco Toscano highlighted that this investment addresses a "historic demand" and exemplifies cooperation between the central government and the City Council. He emphasized that the project not only resolves safety issues in the area but also enhances a space frequently used by citizens.
The intervention will integrate structural solutions with environmental restoration techniques. This includes measures for channel protection, as well as revegetation efforts with native species to restore the characteristic riparian forest. The use of local plant materials will reinforce the banks and promote vegetation regeneration, fostering the environmental sustainability and integration of the works.
